Newborn photography requires patience, warmth, and care above all else. Here's what makes our sessions safe and successful.
Days Old Is Ideal
Babies are sleepiest and most curly during the first two weeks. This window gives us the best chance for those dreamy, peaceful poses.
Hours Per Session
We never rush. Sessions include feeding breaks, soothing time, and diaper changes. Everything moves at your baby's pace.
Safety First
Studio kept at 78–80°F. White noise machine. Sanitized props and wraps. Baby is always supported — every "floating" pose is composited for safety.
What We Capture
Solo Newborn
Classic poses on soft wraps, in baskets, and on natural textures. Curled fingers, tiny toes, peaceful sleeping expressions.
Parent & Baby

Book during your second or third trimester. We'll pencil in a tentative date around your due date, then confirm the exact day once baby arrives. This guarantees your spot in the 5–14 day window.

Questions About Newborn Sessions
Safety is our absolute priority. Our studio is kept warm (78–80°F), all props and wraps are sanitized, and baby is always supported by a spotter or parent. Any pose that looks like the baby is "floating" is a safe composite of two images.
No problem. We budget 2–3 hours per session specifically because babies need feeding breaks, soothing, and diaper changes. We use white noise, gentle swaddling, and patience. Awake babies make beautiful photos too — those big open eyes are precious.
Extra diapers, bottles/formula (if applicable), a pacifier, a change of clothes for parents, and any special items you'd like in the photos (heirloom blanket, stuffed animal, etc.). We provide all wraps, props, and backdrops.
Absolutely — many families book a maternity session during the third trimester and a newborn session 1–2 weeks after birth. We offer bundle pricing for both. Contact us for a combined quote.
Not at all. We photograph babies up to about 4 weeks old. After 2 weeks, babies are more alert and less curly, so the style shifts slightly — more lifestyle and interaction shots, fewer classic newborn poses. Still absolutely beautiful.
