This Privacy Policy explains how Luminous Space Photography (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website, inquire or book our services, participate in a photo/video session, receive digital deliveries, or interact with our communications.

1. Scope
This Policy applies to:
• Our public website is hosted on Squarespace.
• Our booking, inquiry, and checkout forms are embedded on our site.
• Our online gallery and delivery workflow is powered by a third-party provider (Picsart);
• Payments processed by PayPal and/or Stripe;
• Our email, customer support, analytics, and advertising tools (e.g., Google/Meta).
This Policy does not cover third-party sites or services that we do not control. When you place print orders directly in your online gallery, those orders are governed by Picsart own terms and privacy policy.
2. Information We Collect
Directly from you. Name, email, phone, billing details (handled by PayPal/Stripe), booking details, communications, preferences.
Content from sessions. Photographs and video clips we capture; image metadata (date/time, device/camera settings); shot lists; selection choices; retouching notes; signed consents/model releases.
Automatically. Device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, and interactions collected via cookies and similar technologies.
From service providers (processing on our behalf).
• Squarespace (site hosting, forms, scheduling/checkout modules);
• PayPal/Stripe (payment processing);
• Picsast (image delivery, downloads, and—if you choose—print orders placed in the gallery);
• Email and customer support tools; analytics (e.g., Google Analytics); advertising platforms (e.g., Meta Pixel).
We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
3. How We Use Information
• Provide services: schedule sessions, photograph/retouch, deliver images, enable gallery access and downloads;
• Process transactions and manage accounts/invoices;
• Customer support and service communications;
• Portfolio & studio operations consistent with your Terms of Service selections (e.g., publicity permissions managed there);
• Analytics & site performance;
• Marketing/ads (measure, improve, and deliver ads, where permitted);
• Legal/compliance and to prevent fraud or abuse.
4. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and to measure/serve ads (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Pixel). You can manage preferences in your browser and via our cookie banner. To opt out of interest-based ads on Meta/Google, use their settings and the links provided in Your Privacy Rights below.
5. Sharing of Personal Information
We share personal information with:
• Service providers/Processors under contract (Squarespace, Picsart, PayPal/Stripe, email/support, analytics/ads) who process data only on our instructions;
• Authorities were required by law to protect our rights.
We do not “sell” personal information for money. We may “share” identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under California law. See Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information below.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described:
• Contracts/invoices: typically ~7 years (tax/accounting).
• Client images, selection records, delivery logs: typically ~3 years (longer if you keep an active client account or ongoing license).
• Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify information.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Children/Minors
We do not target children. For participants under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide any personal information and consent to our processing (scheduling, delivery, and—if applicable—publicity permissions governed by our Terms). If you believe we collected a child’s information without proper consent, contact us to delete it.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where applicable. To exercise rights, email contact@luminousspace.net. We may need to verify your identity.
10. California (CCPA/CPRA)
Categories collected (as defined by CPRA):
• Identifiers (name, email, phone, online identifiers);
• Commercial information (orders, session purchases);
• Internet activity (site/app interactions, cookie data);
• Approximate geolocation (from IP);
• Inferences (preferences).
Sale/Share. We do not sell personal information for money. We may share identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Opt-out: Use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link and adjust cookie settings. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where detected.
California requests (know/access, correct, delete, opt-out of sale/share) can be submitted to contact@luminousspace.net. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. International Users
If you access our services from outside the United States, your data may be processed in the U.S. where laws may differ. We apply safeguards consistent with this Policy.
12. Third-Party Services
When you access the online gallery or place print orders within the gallery, you interact directly with Picsast, which has its own terms and privacy policy. Payments made via PayPal/Stripe are processed under their terms and policies.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted with an updated “Last updated” date.
